To speak to each
other and share this book together from anywhere in the world,
you’ll need a free
Skype account. Skype is what is called VoIP, or Voice over
Internet Protocol. Basically it is a phone system without the
phone and allows you to call over the Internet to other Skype users
for free. It allows for online video calls, also free, if between
Skype users. All you need is a computer, web-camera (about $10-$30
depending on quality), speakers and a microphone. If your computer
is Bluetooth enabled, your Bluetooth headset, the same one you use
with your cell phone, eliminates the need for a microphone and
speakers. |

I relied exclusively
on
Skype while living in the Middle East and
Europe this year and found it invaluable. To get your
Skype account, simply visit
Skype.com. Your account can be set up in less than five minutes. |

Skype also
allows you on both ends to be looking at the same document
while you're speaking, eliminating the need to e-mail large
files.
The music
collection is offered in two formats. The mp3 (46 MB),
which can be played on your computer, iPod, Zune, Blackberry
or any other device that plays this format. Or as .aiff
file. This is the type of file found on regular CD's.
This folder is over 550 MB and will take at least an hour to
download, but it is also the highest quality and burns
directly to a CD.
